Baby Sign Language Introductory Workshop
Baby sign language allows you to communicate with hearing babies long before they can verbalize their wants and needs. Research studies show that signing with babies accelerates language acquisition, reduces frustration, enhances a child’s self esteem and deepens the bond between parent and child. The one and a half hour workshop is designed to introduce basic baby signs that are based on American Sign Language (ASL) and is designed for expectant parents and parents with babies ranging in age from birth to 18 months. Fun activities and songs will show how easy it can be to integrate these signs into your everyday routine and jump-start your child’s verbal skills.
Taught by: Bill White, B.S. He is a baby sign language instructor for Mission College in Santa Clara and teaches at several facilities in the area. He is the proud father of two hearing sons, who both sign.![]()

Baby Sign Language Play group
It’s time to take the next step in the world of baby sign language. Stop guessing what your baby is trying to tell you and start spending more time fulfilling your child’s specific desires and needs. Join Bill White for six interactive one-hour play groups. In a playful environment, you will build your sign language vocabulary through songs, games and activities. Weekly themes include mealtime, animals, colors, family, safety and more! Babies’ minds are developmentally ready to start memorizing words and signs by 6 months of age, so you will want to have a solid signing vocabulary by then. Start building your baby sign language skills today.
